At Creek Valley Farm, the cheese starts with the cows. The cheesemaker and herdsperson, Lorinda Campbell (Rin) has always loved Jerseys. She treats them as family, talking to them, teasing them, and giving them hugs. Most of the cows on the farm are from the same matriarch, extending that familial feel throughout the farm. As well as being loved, the cows always have access to the outdoors. Even in the winter, they enjoy being outside. The farm practices rotational grazing and does not use chemical fertilizers on pastures. Located in Irasburg, Vermont, Creek Valley operates a small cheese plant complete with a cave right on the farm. With their happy cows and sustainable farming practices, they proudly offer three different kinds of incredible-tasting cheeses.
