Family-owned organic farm, proudly serving Vermont communities. Our mission is to contribute to the community’s well-being by using organic and sustainable farming practices to provide delicious and nutritious food.

Located in Addison County Vermont, Last Resort Farm sits on land originally home to the Nulhegan band of Abenaki. It was purchased by Sam Burr and Eugenie Doyle in 1986 from the Shattuck family who had been dairying there for 150 years. The Doyle-Burrs operated the farm as a conventional dairy until 1993 when they sold the Jersey herd and re-imagined the farm as an organic hay and produce operation. The farm operation now grows 80 acres of organic hay and straw, 20 acres of organic fruit and vegetables and collects maple sap from 1,400 taps.
