About Us
Considered the first certified organic dairy in Vermont, Butterworks Farm started nearly four decades ago with only a handful of Jersey cows in 1979. Since then, the family-owned and operated farm has expanded into an array of exceptional quality yogurts and kefirs, not to mention its to-die-for heavy cream. The buttery, protein-rich milk of Butterworks' Jersey cows lends to the excellent consistency and full flavor of the products.
Practices
Butterworks implements a range of sustainable farming and business practices, including the integration of renewable energy, carbon sequestration, and composting. Their happy cows graze on 99 acres, and all Butterworks' dairy products are hormone and antibiotic-free.
