Morningstar Farm is a certified organic farm in Glover, Vermont. Its 70 acres provide dry beans, beef, hay, and grains (including sifted flour, great for baking!). The farm strives to provide for its family, neighbors, and the Northeast Kingdom community.

Certified organic through VOF for over 20 years, Morningstar owners Seth and Jeanette Johnson have employed several significant sustainability strategies on their farm. Efforts include a range of best practices from cover cropping and sustainable harvest practices to construction of a special livestock barn to contain nutrients and mitigate runoff into local waterways. Their bean/grain cleaning operations are even solar-powered via on-farm solar panels. The Johnsons are continually looking for ways to improve and make the farm more sustainable for the next generation.
