Owned and operated by Amy Huyffer & Earl Ransome, Strafford Organic Creamery is a one-farm, one-family dairy in central Vermont. They milk 50 Guernsey cows and market their amazing milk and cream in classic glass bottles. Their super-premium ice cream is a Vermont summer favorite, and their eggnog is a holiday must-have.
Practices
Strafford products are hormone and antibiotic-free, free-range, certified organic, and pasture-raised. Their team is committed to reusable packaging and organic, sustainable land and livestock management. They avoid herbicides, pesticides, and chemical fertilizers, rotating their herd of Guernsey cows on fresh pasture. Above all, the farm prioritizes the comfort and well-being of its cows (who all have unique names) with gentle milking routines and a focus on their needs.
